Meet Craeve’s Content Marketing Enthusiast
December 17, 2021

Platforms like Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube are great places to introduce your business to new audiences and engage with your current demographic. Craeve & Company’s Content Development Specialist Rachel Smith works to curate account-based content to fit the ideal customer profile, but curation is nothing without promotion and engagement. We’ve got that covered too!

Why Craeve & Co.?

I was born in Lincoln, Nebraska, and moved to Chicago, Illinois, 18 years ago. My career as an end-user started when I began waitressing in college and blossomed from there. Interestingly enough, I have a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interior Design and am a certified mixologist. For more than 20 years, I have worked in the food and beverage industry and bring a wealth of experience to my role as Content Development Specialist within the Craeve & Co. team. While Craeve is growing, so am I. With Craeve & Co., I can take my skills and engage with our clients and their audiences in a digital space—I have a knack for engaging end-users.

What was life like before Craeve & Co.?

Once I graduated, the lack of need for interior designers pressed me to lean into the hospitality industry. I had 15 years of industry experience under my belt and nowhere to go but up. I had been in the restaurant industry for so long that I could immediately speak about what people were seeing and experiencing. I dipped my toe in Craeve & Co. and never looked back.

What inspires you creatively?

When I am struggling creatively, I go back to what I know best, my comfort zone. I get my wheels turning on the things I know to inspire how I speak about industries I am still learning. Coming in at the beginning of Craeve & Co. has been an asset; I’m learning more every day but have been fortunate to get to know our clients.

Any best practices to share?

In my mind’s eye, the service I provide works best when the content captures the personality and authenticity of the client. That’s the best advice I can impart; brand authenticity is essential to great marketing.
